PicStack ("we", "our", or "us") is operated by Orca Kobo. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mobile application.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you sign in, we collect:

  • Anonymous accounts: A randomly generated user ID
  • Google Sign-In: Your email address and display name
  • Apple Sign-In: Your Apple ID email (or relay email if you choose to hide it) and display name

User Content

When you save images to PicStack, we store:

  • The images you upload
  • Generated titles, summaries, and tags
  • Extracted text from images
  • Your custom tags and organization

Analytics Data

We use Google Analytics to collect anonymous usage data, including:

  • App usage patterns and feature interactions
  • Device type and operating system version
  • Crash reports and performance metrics

How We Use Your Information

  • Image Analysis: Your images are sent to Google Gemini API for analysis to generate titles, summaries, tags, and extract text. Images are processed and not stored by Google beyond the analysis request.
  • Storage: Your images and metadata are stored securely on Supabase servers.
  • Service Improvement: Analytics help us understand how to improve the app.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Google Gemini API: For image analysis and content generation
  • Supabase: For data storage and authentication
  • Google Analytics: For anonymous usage analytics
  • Google Sign-In / Apple Sign-In: For authentication

Each service has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data.

Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data:

  • All data transmission is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS
  • Database access is protected by row-level security policies
  • Authentication tokens are securely stored on your device

Data Retention and Deletion

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time through the app settings. Upon deletion:

  • All your images will be permanently deleted
  • All associated metadata (titles, summaries, tags) will be removed
  • Your account information will be erased

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. Your data is only shared with the third-party services listed above for the purpose of providing the app's functionality.

In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of our business, your data may be transferred to the new owner, who will be bound by the same privacy commitments outlined in this policy.

Children's Privacy

PicStack is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or via email.
